Chefs' Association of Pakistan (CAP) in association with COTHM Pakistan & Dubai continues its drive to add value to the culinary traditions in Pakistan.
In connection with the International Chefs Day 2018, activities on culinary preparations and knowledge-sharing were launched where competitions were held among little chefs at COTHM.
The theme of these competitions named as "Healthy Food for Growing Up" received tremendous applause from the education sector as well as form the hospitality industry. Two hundred kids within the age bracket of 07 to 13 years from fifteen different schools were selected to participate in the pre-ICD 2018 activities.
The children were not just engaged for their learning through culinary competitions but they were also motivated and inspired by the professional mentors to develop them into confident individuals.
A special component of food safety and hygiene was also incorporated to their learning activities, which helped them understand the significance of food safety and hygiene in the food and culinary preparations at home and in commercial operations.
The series of events started from 11th of Oct. in the Studio Kitchen of COTHM and culminated into a grand finale on Oct. 19, 2018.
The Secretary General of the Chefs' Association of Pakistan (CAP), Mr. Ahmad Shafiq, highly appreciated the support of parents and the enthusiasm of these 'little chefs' which they demonstrated throughout the events of competitions. He said they are the future of Pakistan and we are determined to develop their talent to help them reach their full potential.
