The KP Tourism Police plays a pivotal role in providing facilities for tourists and quickly solving their problems in the event of an emergency at scenic spots in the province. This was stated by Director General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA), Abid Khan Wazir, during an event at Peshawar Sports Complex on Thursday.
Tourism Police Commander Gul Said Afridi, Deputy Commander Shaukat Ali, Planning and Marketing Manager Hayat Ali Shah, Tourism Police Deputy Director Muhammad Yasir, Tourism Police officers and others were also present at the occasion.
On this occasion, uniforms, kits, shoes and other necessary equipment were distributed to the tourist police officers who were now to follow a three-month training course at the Swat police training center, starting on September 20.
The CEO of KPCTA said that the Tourism Police has performed exceptionally well beyond our expectations, which will boost tourism in the province. ” KP Tourism police personnel returned valuable possessions including jewelry, cell phones and money lost by tourists to their owners and showed exemplary skills during emergency rescue activities in scenic locations,” said Abid Khan Wazir. , adding that tourism agents rescued elderly tourists, women and children and promptly informed the departments concerned.
Commander Gul Said Afridi said that in a short time the tour agents have set a good example of dedication and dedication to their duty and that tourists and the general public have always appreciated their performances.
He said that training is a must for tour agents to better manage the situation in the event of an emergency in tourist places.
He said the police will be taught the skills of investigating, crowd control, washing and warfare, telecommunications, hospitality and tourism.
The official said the KPCTA will bear the cost of three months of training and clutter for the police so that they are not overloaded during this period.
