Civil aviation efforts praised during ICAO session

A delegation from the Pakistani Civil Aviation efforts (CAE), led by Director-General Khaqan Murtaza, attended the “41st session of the ICAO Triennial General Assembly” held at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada.

The DG CAA, being the chief delegate, appealed to the chairman of the ICAO board, said the news released on Wednesday.

In addition, Saifullah Khan, spokesperson for the PCCA, informed that the delegation, with the president of the ICAO Council, has shared important legislative and innovative initiatives that are transforming the country’s aviation industry.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s civil aviation efforts to make the country’s aviation industry efficient, compliant and innovative were praised during the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the Attorney General of Pakistan in Canada and Deputy Director General CAA.

In addition, DG CAA held separate meetings with the ICAO Secretary General and delegations from other countries, including the UK, China, Malaysia and Qatar.

ICAO Assembly meetings are held every three years (every three years) and are attended by 193 member countries.

The 41st Session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was held for ten days when the session began on September 27 and was scheduled to last until October 7, 2022, the press release adds.
