Direct flights to promote tourism between Pakistan & Indonesia, says Indonesian minister

 

Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Tourism and Economic Creativity, has stated that direct air flights are critical for promoting bilateral tourism between Pakistan and Indonesia. In terms of population, the market of 500 million people in Indonesia and Pakistan can open up new avenues of cooperation in all economic sectors, including tourism and trade in both countries.

Ni Made Ayu Marthini, Deputy Minister for Tourism and Economic Creativity, stated that tourism and trade are very important sectors in which discussions for cooperation between the two countries are ongoing.

According to the minister, there is a need to better understand mutual markets and different economic sectors in both countries, which can lead to new avenues of mutual economic cooperation.

Marthini stated that the government follows a regular plan to promote tourism in Indonesia, in which major changes are brought about in the tourism between Pakistan and Indonesia sector through the implementation of short, medium, and long-term projects.

She stated that while Bali is an important tourist destination in Indonesia, there are many other beautiful places in Indonesia where our government is committed to providing modern tourism facilities.

She stated that the Indonesian government is working on a two-pronged tourism promotion strategy that includes domestic Indonesian tourists. Aside from that, she stated that our government is working to provide modern facilities to foreign tourists.
