To encourage travel during the ongoing winter season, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA in northeren areas) will soon roll out a discount package for northern regions.
The Federal Aviation Minister, Khawaja Saad Rafique, presided over a recent high-level meeting of the national flag carrier during which the decision was made.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) were instructed to offer special discount packages for Skardu, Gilgit, and Chitral, according to specifics provided by the Minister.
Additionally, the Minister instructed the staff to reschedule flights from Lahore and Karachi to Skardu during the winter months in order to enhance PIA in northeren areas flying schedule.
The federal government is reportedly considering renting regional jets on a dry lease in order to increase flight operations to smaller airports across the nation, according to a story from earlier this month.
The Minister had stated that the federal government is developing a national aviation policy to transform the nation’s aviation industry while addressing a gathering at that time.
