Emirates, one of the top airlines in the world, has chosen to start flying between Dubai and Montreal on July 5, 2023. The action follows the signing of a deal between the UAE and Canada to boost economic relations and the aviation and tourist industries in both nations.
The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be used for the daily flights between Dubai and Montreal, operating as EK243/244, and will have First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class capacity.
Adnan Kazim, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Emirates, stated that the airline is ecstatic to launch a second route into Canada in order to increase its presence there with direct flights from Dubai. Air Canada, the biggest airline in Canada, has recently announced intentions to increase its international network by launching additional non-stop flights from Vancouver International Airport to Dubai, beginning on October 28, 2023.
The airline’s fleet of Dreamliners will be used on the new route, which will run four times per week. Expatriates and visitors who frequently fly between the UAE and Canada can benefit from this new service.
The Canadian consul general in Dubai, Jean-Philippe Linteau, expressed his enthusiasm for the recently announced direct flights between Vancouver and Dubai. He pointed out that Vancouver serves as the entry point to Canada’s Pacific Coast, which is home to a number of tourist destinations and academic institutions.
