College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) successfully celebrated World Potato Day with an exciting culinary showcase, where a large number of culinary arts students participated to demonstrate their talent and creativity. The event witnessed the preparation of a variety of innovative and delectable dishes, all centered around the humble yet versatile potato.

The event brought together key partners from the food and hospitality industry. Islanders Choice, renowned for its premium spices, generously provided a range of seasonings that added unique flavors to the students’ dishes. Opa Fries, a leading supplier of fries and vegetables, contributed high-quality fries and fresh vegetables that were integral to the recipes.

In addition to these contributions, Haier, the global leader in home appliances, joined the event as the official appliance partner. Haier’s state-of-the-art kitchen appliances were utilized by the students to prepare their innovative dishes, enhancing the cooking experience and ensuring perfect results.

As a token of appreciation, both Opa Fries and Islanders Choice distributed their products to all the participating students, ensuring they could continue their culinary experimentation even after the event.

COTHM remains committed to providing hands-on, practical learning experiences for its students while fostering collaboration with industry partners. World Potato Day was yet another example of how COTHM encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in the field of culinary arts.
