Chef Association of Pakistan hosts General Council Meeting South Region in Karachi

Chef Association of Pakistan (CAP) recently convened the General Council Meeting for the South Region at its Sindh and Baluchistan Head Office in Karachi. The meeting, chaired by Mr. Sabir Ahmed, Executive Director of COTHM Karachi, saw the participation of esteemed members from the hospitality
and culinary sectors.

 

 


Led by Syed Azhar Jamil, Vice President of CAP, the event provided a platform for industry professionals to network, explore current trends, and address challenges shaping Pakistan’s culinary landscape. Attendees included prominent figures such as Executives Chefs Yasir Bin Yamin from PC Hotel Karachi, Ali Hussain of Marriott Karachi, Amir Iqbal from Movenpick Hotel Nouman Iftikhar from Avari Tower, Chef Mairaj Khan from Beach Luxury Hotel. Beside them Chef Aisha Mushtaq, Owner of Loewish Dine Restaurant, Chef Moazzam Head Chef at Saffron by Daily Dubai, Chef Aurangzeb Executive Chef at Jashan Restaurant; Arif Shahab, Corporate Chef at Young’s Food, Chef Saima Maqbool Regional Sales Chef at National Foods and Chef Sarah Farhan, Head of Marketing at Andaaz Cooking Oil and others from leading hotels, restaurants, and culinary institutions of Karachi.


Discussions at the meeting cantered on fostering collaboration through regular meetups, advancing training programs for culinary staff, and promoting Pakistani cuisine globally. The emphasis was on improving industry standards, mentorship initiatives, and creating practical opportunities for culinary students to learn from seasoned experts.
CAP reiterated the significance of membership and certification for chefs to uphold quality standards and training programs align with CAP’s commitment to culinary excellence. The meeting concluded with a shared dedication to nurturing talent, continuous learning, and furthering the growth of Pakistan’s culinary industry.
