College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) Pakistan & Dubai proudly hosted its Annual Convocation Ceremony 2025 on March 5, 2025, celebrating the achievements of its graduates in the departments of hospitality management, culinary arts, baking & patisserie arts, travel, tourism & airline operations, food, nutrition & safety sciences, and life skills. The ceremony marked yet another milestone in COTHM’s mission to empower the youth of Pakistan through globally recognized education and training.

COTHM, a pioneer in hospitality and tourism education, has been at the forefront of providing international-standard qualifications to students since its inception in 2002. With over 60,000 graduates serving the hospitality, travel, and tourism industries worldwide, the institution continues to pave the way for professional excellence in these dynamic fields. With 20+ branches across Pakistan and one in Dubai, COTHM is committed to equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a competitive global economy.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony Mr. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, Minister for Planning Development & Special Initiatives of Pakistan, emphasized the immense potential of Pakistan’s tourism industry and the crucial role of hospitality education in harnessing and maximizing this potential. He highlighted the entrepreneurial opportunities available in the hospitality and tourism sectors both locally and internationally, urging graduates to leverage their skills to contribute to the country’s economic growth.

During the convocation ceremony, graduates were awarded diplomas and certificates in various disciplines, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

The event was graced by esteemed Guests of Honour: Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program; His Excellency Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of the Embassy of Malaysia; His Excellency Harerimama Fatou, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda; Rahmat Hindiarta, Acting Ambassador of Indonesia; Mr. Aftab Ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director of PTDC; and Raja Nasir, Minister for Training and Development of GB.

Speaking at the event, COTHM Founder/President & CEO Ahmad Shafiq reiterated the institution’s commitment to expanding hospitality education and training across Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of skilled education in empowering the youth, enabling them to build successful careers and contribute to the nation’s socio-economic development. He also congratulated all the students upon receiving their academic award and wished them best of luck for their future endeavors.
