Bombay Chowpati CEO Adnan Sarwar spoke to a large group of students at COTHM’s New Garden Town Campus on March 17, 2021.
In his talk, he discussed his experience as a CEO especially during the difficult economic times of COVID-19 pandemic. He also advised the students on how to be successful in the field of food industry.
After the talk, he was taken to a tour of the newly built facility of the college by Ahmad Shafiq, CEO and Founder, COTHM Pakistan and Dubai.
Usman Ashraf (CEO, Hardee’s), Hammad Mustafa (Director, T&D, McDonald’s) and Amir Khawaja (GM, Savoey Hotel) were also present on the occasion. All the guests appreciated the state-of-the-art facility and encouraged COTHM’s vision of 2021; DEGREE WITH SKILLS.

lauds COTHM for providing quality education
College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) was lucky to have Dr. Sajid Yoosufani, Director General, Civil Services Academy on campus to visit its newly established facility.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr Sajid Yoosufani and to have the chance to demonstrate how this college is offering a truly tertiary experience for our learners and leaving a positive impact on our communities and the local economy by providing accessible pathways into learning with seamless progression from further to higher education and into skill-based learning,” said COTHM CEO Ahmad Shafiq on the occasion.
While appreciating COTHM’s state-of-the-art facility and its initiatives, the DG exclaimed, “It is a pleasure to visit the college. COTHM plays a key role in ensuring that learners have access to the quality education and get equipped with necessary skills which are crucial for the survival in industry. It is great to see the innovative learning methods that are being used to achieve the targeted goals.”

Venus Pakistan CEO Adnan Asad visited COTHM’s New Garden Town Campus to advise the students on how to pursue careers in the field of baking and patisserie.
No matter which direction you choose to pursue, continue to expand your knowledge of food and technique, develop discipline early, and learn to maintain and enhance it,” Mr Adnan Asad advised the participants.
“Most important is the desire to serve. It’s difficult to teach, because true hospitality comes from within. It’s simply a desire to make people happy and to know what they want before they are going to want it.”
Following Adnan Asad’s overview of his career so far, students were able to ask him questions that covered a range of topics. Students did not hold back and asked a number of interesting and intuitive questions.
He appreciated the state-of-the-art facility of COTHM’s New Garden Town Campus after having a visit of the campus.

appreciates COTHM’s vision ‘Degree with Skills’
Air Vice Marshall (R) Sajid Habib conducted an interactive session with the students at COTHM.
“COTHM is doing some great work with its vision ‘Degree with Skills’”, Sajid Habib said during his visit and added that “with a comprehensive curriculum focused on the fundamentals of skills, any student regardless of age or gender can hopefully prove wonders.”
Earlier upon arrival, he was received by COTHM Pakistan & Dubai CEO & Founder Ahmad Shafiq and Chief Operation Officer (COO) Zaheer Ahmad.
“The overarching goal of our college is to determine and promote for the nation the most effective skills-based education system using both peer-based and self-paced environments,” Ahmad Shafiq said.

Former Health minister Tahir Ali visited College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) to visit the newly built flagship facility of COTHM.
During the visit, the former minister heard more about the world-leading research into food safety and nutrition and appreciated the faculty and students for producing quality work in the field of hospitality.
COTHM CEO & Founder Ahmad Shafiq showed him different departments and facilities provided to impart quality education to the students. He was impressed to know that the college had an internationally qualified faculty.
He appreciated and praised the activities and facilities of the college and also congratulated the CEO on the completion of COTHM’s 20 years in the field of hospitality and tourism.

Hardees CEO Usman Ashraf
COTHM CEO & Founder Ahmad Shafiq welcomed Hardees CEO Usman Ashraf for a campus tour of the newly established facility of the college.
Usman Ashraf visited the college and found that the programs on offer at COTHM provide the students with the opportunities to learn a number of skills through classroom and kitchen lessons.
He appreciated the staff members who were putting efforts to prepare the students for the world of work.
“They are truly outstanding people,” said Usman Ashraf, “I’m impressed that COTHM is looking for dynamic ways to move its students forward in all areas and I look forward to a wonderful relationship together.”
