Make-A-Wish Foundation in collaboration with PIA fulfilled the wish of 14-year-old Huzaifa Sikander who wishes to become a PIA pilot. At a ceremony at PIA Head Office Karachi, PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik pinned pilot’s wings on the child’s uniform. Later the ‘young pilot was given pilot training at flight simulator. The child is suffering from cancer.
Air Marshal Arshad Malik appreciated the unique work of Make-A-Wish Foundation and assured his and the PIA’s support. The founder Make-A-Wish Pakistan, Ishtiaq Baig, thanked PIA for being a partner of the foundation and for joining hands in granting the travelling related wishes of Make-A-Wish children.
The ceremony was attended by General Manager Aamir Memon, Chief Pilot Kalim Chughtai, Capt. Mohsin, and other senior officials of PIA. Make-A-Wish Pakistan is an affiliate member of MAW Int’l dedicated to granting wishes of the critically ill children.
