Speaking at the CPEC International Seminar hosted by China Window, Dr. Bakhtiar highlighted the immense potential of KP’s scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage. He pointed to iconic locations such as the valleys of Swat and Chitral, as well as ancient Buddhist archaeological sites like Takht Bhai and Jamal Garhi, as prime attractions for global travelers.

He assured investors of the provincial government’s commitment to fostering tourism growth through investor-friendly policies. These include streamlined approval processes, tax incentives, and comprehensive support for private sector initiatives.

Dr. Bakhtiar underscored the government’s strategic focus on eco-friendly tourism and the development of integrated tourism zones. He encouraged Chinese businesses to explore public-private partnerships in various sectors, including resort development, cable car systems, and the broader hospitality industry.

He also noted that enhanced infrastructure and improved accessibility under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) have made remote yet breathtaking destinations more reachable than ever before.

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Bakhtiar emphasized the importance of expanding Pak-China cooperation beyond infrastructure development to include cultural exchange and mutual prosperity through sustainable tourism initiatives.
