Cluster GM Avari Hotels, Mr Hartmut Noak, visited COTHM college New Garden Town campus on 13th December, 2020 to inspire students to follow careers in the hospitality industry.
Around 60 students and staff who attended the speech got to hear about Noak’s experience in several countries of the world.
He stated that the key to success is to define a goal and to pour all of your energy, power, and effort into achieving it. It may take many years before you are successful, but if you hold onto your desire, you will eventually attain what you seek.
Mr Noak also visited the facility and appreciated the state of the art campus of COTHM.
Aftab Rana
CEO COTHM, Mr Ahmad Shafiq, warmly received Mr. Aftab Rana, President Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan on 17th December.
Mr. Rana’s job entails planning and implementation of various activities for the revival of tourism and hotel industry of Swat Valley.
He is well known in public and private sectors of tourism industry due to his pioneering efforts for the promotion of ecotourism in Pakistan. Previously he has served as Director General Operations at Adventure Foundation Pakistan. He has extensively traveled throughout the country and abroad and has vast experience of tour packaging, product development, destination development and tourism marketing. His main areas of interest are Ecotourism, Adventure Tourism and Youth Tourism.
He has also worked with WWF-Pakistan and IUCN Pakistan as an Ecotourism Advisor/Consultant and has prepared tourism management plans for different National Parks and protected areas of Pakistan.
He has received a number of awards including the Trainer of the Year Award from the South Asia Tourism Human Resource Development Project (SATHRDP), Commonwealth Asia Award for Excellence in Youth Work and Government of Pakistan’s Better Pakistan-2010 Excellence Award in the field of Tourism.
He also lauded the efforts of founder COTHM Pakistan, Mr Ahmad Shafiq in establishing a platform that is providing continuous support and opportunities to the youth of Pakistan.
Zeeshan Afzal
Mr. Zeeshan Afzal CEO & Co-Founder Million Smiles visited COTHM Pakistan New Garden Town campus on 15th December.
He delivered a wonderful lecture to young generation and spotlight the youth towards how to excel in right direction.
“From pretty humble beginnings, I found myself facing the same challenges as you as a young chef,” he said during his aspirational talk to students and appreciated their zeal.
He appreciated the state of the art facility of COTHM New Garden Town as he toured around the campus.
