‘Conservation of historical sites need of the hour’

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has stressed the preservation of Conservation of historical sites, unique monumental buildings and historical places & buildings.

In a message on the World Heritage Day, he said that observing the day in respect to historical places and heritage buildings was a good omen. He said said “our heritage reminds us of our past”.

According to a statement released from his office, CM Buzdar directed that Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (PILAC) to devise a comprehensive plan for promoting regional languages as it would help to promote the rich culture of the province.

 In this regard, a detailed briefing was given to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar about the working, performance, and capacity of Information and Culture Department at his office.

“The happy memories of the past make our lives beautiful. Punjab’s historical sites and monuments have a recognition at global level because of their architectural beauty,” added the chief minister.

The historical buildings in Lahore are a testament to its architectural beauty.

The Punjab government is making serious efforts to protect and promote its heritage at global level, added the CM.

The historical sites in Pakistan are globally recognized due to their architectural beauty, he said and added that conservation of these sites is the need of the hour.
