In celebration of World Book Day, the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) organized a thought-provoking and impactful event highlighting the significance of books in the modern era. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the enduring value of literature in personal and societal development.

The event was graced by prominent literary figures including Allama Abdul Sattar Asim, renowned author and CEO of Qalam Foundation, along with Mr. Muhammad Zaid, Manager Operations, and Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, Director Administration from Chughtai Library.

The distinguished guests applauded COTHM for organizing a meaningful program that emphasized the timeless relevance of books in today’s fast-paced digital age. They praised the institution for upholding and promoting the spirit of knowledge and learning through such initiatives.

In a generous gesture, Allama Abdul Sattar Asim announced a special gift for COTHM students – his book titled “Zindagi Kaisay Guzarain” (How to Live Life), aimed at guiding the youth toward a meaningful and balanced life.

Adding to the value of the occasion, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf from Chughtai Library announced free lifetime membership of the library for all COTHM students, opening up a world of literary resources and research opportunities.

The event also featured book stalls set up by Media Line Publications and Al-Noor Foundation, which attracted enthusiastic participation from students who explored a wide range of books and literary material.

By commemorating World Book Day with such dedication, COTHM once again reinforced its commitment to fostering a culture of reading, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity among its students.
