College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) on Tuesday (October 29, 2024) celebrated its 25th Annual Convocation with grandeur at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its students.
This year’s convocation saw distinguished leaders from academia, government, and the hospitality industry coming together to honor the achievements of the graduating students.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Ramesh Singh Arora, Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Punjab, who in his speech, commended COTHM’s role in shaping future hospitality professionals, saying, “COTHM’s commitment to excellence in education has set new standards in Pakistan’s hospitality sector, preparing students to excel in the global industry.”
Ahmad Shafiq, Founder/President & CEO of COTHM Pakistan and COTHM Global – UK, welcomed guests and expressed pride in the achievements of COTHM’s graduates, stating, “Today we celebrate not only academic success but the dedication and perseverance of our students and faculty. COTHM is proud to play a pivotal role in the development of hospitality and tourism education in Pakistan.”
Prominent guests of honor included H.E. Uz. Mohamed Thoha, High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan, Zahid Anjum, Honorary Consul of Republic of Kosovo and esteemed professors from leading educational institutions such as the University of the Punjab, Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore College for Women University, and others.
The ceremony included the conferral of certifications, diplomas, and degrees in the fields such as Hospitality & Tourism Management, Culinary Arts, and Baking & Patisserie, along with the Graduate Diploma in International Culinary Arts and Diploma in Travel & Tourism Airline Management. Outstanding students were recognized for their achievements, with position holders receiving medals, certificates and president’s medal.
The ceremony concluded with a cake cutting ceremony, a series of group photos and a refreshment reception for graduates and guests, celebrating another year of accomplishments for COTHM and its graduating sessions of 2024.
