Dunya News Group organized Edufest 2019 at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore on 21st and 22nd of August, 2019 and at Castle Marquee Jaranwala Road, Faisalabad on 27th of August Tuesday. These were 2-day and one-day events respectively. COTHM Pakistan and Dubai, joined hands with Dunya Media Network and arranged cooking competitions among the students of various distinguished colleges and universities at both programs. A large number of students participated in the competitions and showed their interest in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
Internationally recognized Hotel School of Pakistan, the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM), maintaining international standards of Hospitality and Culinary Arts Management education, has made its mark on the horizon of the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Industry of Pakistan. In view of the increasing demand and insistence of the Hospitality Industry stakeholders and the general public in Karachi, COTHM has established its new Franchised Campus in Karachi. It has solemnly addressed the human resource needs of the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of Pakistan. Its prime focus has been to achieve excellence in the quality of education and training. Keeping in view the expanding requirements of the qualified human resource of the industry the management of COTHM decided to extend its outreach to the other cities of Pakistan in order for the talented youth of the country to avail the opportunities for obtaining the internationally recognized education in the field of Hospitality and Culinary Arts Management. To facilitate millions of young students aspiring to join the most promising profession of the world, Hospitality and Culinary Arts Management, COTHM decided to establish the COTHM Karachi Campus.
SFAS students of ” BS Food Science and Technology” program participated in live cooking competition ”FOOD CHAMP” organized by Dunia EduFest at PC Hotel on August 21, 2019. More than 20 teams from other universities also participated in this competition. SFAS won second prize in the competition. All the judges were very impressed by the taste, novelty and presentation of the dishes.
