Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) delegation, led by President Mian Abuzar Shad, Senior Vice President Khalid Usman, and Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, visited the Head Office of the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) located in New Garden Town, Lahore. The delegation was welcomed by COTHM Founder, President, and CEO, Ahmad Shafiq along with his team.
During the visit, a grand Youth Skills Showcasing event was held across all the COTHM kitchens, where students from various disciplines, including culinary arts, baking & patisserie, and food safety, demonstrated their exceptional skills. The LCCI delegation expressed their admiration for the impressive food displays and lauded COTHM for its continuous efforts to raise a highly skilled workforce in Pakistan.
The guests also visited Chocolate Academy and its café, Fika Café, where they were introduced to the work being done in chocolate production and the café’s offerings. CEO of Chocolate Academy, Zainab Shafiq, also joined the delegation during their tour, providing insights into the academy’s activities.
A sumptuous lunch was organized in honor of the guests, where Mian Abuzar Shad shared his appreciation for COTHM’s dedication to nurturing skills development and empowering youth in the hospitality industry.
Speaking to the media, Mian Abuzar Shad commended COTHM for its outstanding contribution to the development of skilled professionals in the country. He further emphasized the importance of such initiatives in creating a competitive workforce to meet the growing demands of the hospitality sector.
