College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) today welcomed Pakistani delegation at GYTS here at COTHM head office Garden Town Lahore. The delegation had been back to Pakistan after attending Global Youth Tourism Summit (GYTS) held at Italy between from July 27 to June 03,2022.

GYTS is a new platform organized by the World Tourism Organization for the first time in Sorrento, Italy. According to the recommendation of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, a three-member delegation headed by Zainab Shafiq attended the summit. The delegation also included Bakhtawar Noor and Sarmad Asif.

On the return of the Pakistani delegation at GYTS, they were given a warm welcome at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management today where media representatives were present in large numbers. 17 years old Zainab Shafiq who is also one of the youngest CEOs in Pakistan while talking to media persons said, “The Global Youth Tourism Summit is a great step by the World Tourism Organization which will facilitate authentic research and decision making process regarding the future of youth tourism in the world”.

Pakistan needs to adopt modern practices of youth tourism which is possible only by participating in events like the GYTS”, she added. The Pakistani delegation is composed of Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Ali Khan, Mr. Mohammad Aslam, Mr. Abdul Qadir, Ms. Ayesha Raza, Mr. Muhammad Shoaib.
