According to Airports Council International (ACI), Dubai International Airport (DXB) continued to be the busiest for foreign passenger traffic for the ninth consecutive year in 2022. After DXB’s passenger flow doubled to about 66 million in 2022, the airport raised its forecast for 2023 to 78 million.

Earlier, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) offered a 24-hour visa renewal service at the airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, according to an announcement made by the UAE’s Digital Government. Moreover, UAE nationals can obtain an Emirati passport in five straightforward ways, as described by the Digital Government: new, renewed, replacement, etc.
