The National Assembly (NA) passed the resolution to rename Islamabad Airport as Benazir Bhutto International Airport to honor the sacrifices of the Bhutto family for the country.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MP Nawabzada Iftikhar Khan presented the motion in the National assembly, proposing that the former name of rename Islamabad airport be reinstated.
The resolution says the previous government changed the name due to political hatred and partisanship, adding that the nation cannot forget the Bhutto family’s sacrifices for democracy and the formulation of the country’s constitution.
