The summer camp for kids at Chocolate Academy has created a strong footprint. Owned and kids summer camp
operated by Zainab Shafiq, Chocolate Academy offered a fun and educational hands-on cooking
and baking classes along with side activities such as mental wellness, art and craft, painting,
story-telling, personal hygiene and grooming, public speaking and much more.
Chocolate Academy is the key ingredient for an independent child. It is a first-of-its-kind
Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids of ages three through teen focused on providing
a safe, inspiring, and empowering space for children to identify, develop, and refine their
senses. Through joy, mindfulness, and learning we are creating a foundation for a healthy
lifespan through responsible eating choices: from scratch to consumption.
The camp lasted for a month in which trained instructors took the kids through the world of
chocolate and other activities. The kids also prepared hi-tea for their parents and received
awards for best conduct, class participation, exceptional culinary skills, and punctuality.
“My son loved this camp and our whole family loved the samples that came home every day!
Looking forward to many more Chocolate Academy’s camps and classes in the future”, says one
of the mothers. Importantly, to appreciate the kids on their last day in the camp, McDonalds, KnN’s, Dessertry and Pink Pistachio sent wonderful gifts for all the participants of the summer camp.
