In a landmark visit to the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) Head Office in New Garden Town, Lahore, Minister of State for Tourism, Wasi Shah, was provided with an immersive tour of the institution, offering valuable insights into its dedication to nurturing Pakistan’s hospitality and tourism industry.

COTHM Founder/President & CEO, Ahmad Shafiq, accompanied Minister Wasi Shah during this informative visit.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals including Yum Group Executive Director, Nisar Chaudhry; Hospitality Guru, Masood Ali Khan; Global Tourism Consultant, Nawaz Mehmood; and senior journalist, Zulfiqar Rahat.

During the visit, Minister Wasi Shah engaged with students from various departments of COTHM, commending their dedication and hard work in the field of hospitality and tourism. He expressed his admiration for the institution’s commitment to empowering the youth of Pakistan through skill development programs that prepare them for promising careers in the growing industry.

In his address to the media, Minister Wasi Shah lauded COTHM’s pivotal role in equipping the youth with the necessary skills to excel in the dynamic world of tourism and hospitality. He recognized the institution’s significant contribution to promoting and advancing the tourism sector in Pakistan.

Furthermore, Minister Wasi Shah expressed interest in exploring potential collaborations between the Ministry of Tourism and COTHM. These partnerships could further enhance the quality of education and training provided by COTHM, aligning with the government’s vision for the tourism industry’s growth and development.
