National Command and Operation Centre NCOC has taken a decision to allow outdoor dining at restaurants, reopening of tourist sites and resumption of academic activities at the educational institutes in selective districts from Monday.
All these decisions were taken in a meeting of NCOC under the chair of Planning & Development Minister Asad Umar in Islamabad on Wednesday.
As per the decision made in the NCOC meeting, the districts where positivity ratio of COVID-19 cases is less than five percent can permit the educational institutions to resume the educational activities.
It was also decided in the meeting that restaurants would be allowed to offer outdoor dining till 11:59pm while there would be no restriction on takeaways. It was further decided that the tourist spots would also be opened with proper SOPs.
The meeting also decided to allow outdoor marriages with maximum 150 guests from June with a conditional review of the situation on May 27.
The forum decided that cinemas, festivals, indoor dining, , amusement parks, indoor gyms, shrines, contact sports, inter provincial public transport will also remain closed till the next review meeting.
The forum also directed that all the Secondary and Higher Secondary School Certificate examinations will be conducted after 20th of June while all the professional and non-professional exams will be held according to the situation.
According to the NCOC, all the professional and examining bodies are permitted to hold exams as per the SOPs and NCOC guidelines but after having an NOC from the Ministry of Education.
