I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nisa Sultan, a Turkish restaurant located in the DHA Raya in Lahore. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with Turkish-inspired decor that immediately transports you to the vibrant streets of Istanbul. The attentive staff and authentic ambiance set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience.

To begin our culinary journey, we started with the Mix Mezze Platter. This appetizer showcased a delightful selection of traditional Turkish dips and spreads, including creamy hummus, tangy tzatziki, smoky babaganoush, and vibrant muhammara. The platter was served with warm, fluffy pita bread, perfectly toasted and ideal for scooping up the delicious dips. Each component was bursting with flavor and provided a tantalizing start to our meal.

For the main course, we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes to truly experience the breadth of Turkish cuisine. The NS Family Platter was a grand feast in itself, offering a generous assortment of grilled meats, such as succulent lamb chops, juicy chicken skewers, and flavorful beef koftas. The meats were tender and well-seasoned, and they were accompanied by aromatic rice, grilled vegetables, and a refreshing salad. This platter was perfect for sharing and provided a satisfying and hearty meal.

Next, we savored the Lokum Minute Steak Platter, which featured thinly sliced marinated beef cooked to perfection. The meat was incredibly tender and infused with a delightful blend of herbs and spices. It was served alongside a bed of fluffy rice, grilled vegetables, and a zesty sauce, enhancing the overall flavor profile of the dish. The Lokum Minute Steak Platter was a true treat for meat lovers and showcased the skillful preparation of the kitchen.

We also enjoyed the Iskandar Kebab, a traditional Turkish dish that featured tender strips of grilled lamb served on a bed of buttery rice. The combination of the succulent meat and the fragrant rice was simply divine, and it was complemented by a rich tomato-based sauce and a dollop of creamy yogurt. The flavors were well-balanced and created a delightful harmony in every bite.

To complete our meal, we indulged in the famous Turkish dessert, Kunefe. This sweet treat featured layers of shredded phyllo pastry filled with gooey cheese and soaked in a fragrant sugar syrup. The Kunefe was served warm, with a sprinkling of crushed pistachios on top, adding a delightful crunch. Each bite was a heavenly experience of contrasting textures and flavors, making it the perfect ending to our Turkish feast.

To accompany our dessert, we were served Turkish Qehwa, a traditional Turkish beverage prepared with meticulous care. Served in small cups, this strong and aromatic coffee provided a rich and invigorating finish to our dining experience.

Overall, dining at Nisa Sultan was an enchanting journey through Turkish cuisine. The beautiful ambiance and attentive service added to the overall experience, making Nisa Sultan a must-visit destination for those seeking a taste of Turkey in the heart of Lahore.
