Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, the ex-governor of Punjab visited the Pakistan International Culinary Championship (PICC) and admired the efforts of Chefs’ Association of Pakistan and College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) to arrange the event.
He also met the chefs participating in the event from Pakistan and all over the world and said that such event must be held across country as they highlight a positive image of Pakistan at the global level.
Speaking at the occasion, Sarwar said, “I appreciate the efforts of Ahmad Shafiq and his team to arrange such events. This is really wonderful. Such kind of events promotes a soft image of Pakistan at international level.”
Chefs from all over the country have gathered here. Thus this event is promoting provincial harmony. It will also help promotes Lahore as the food capital of Pakistan.
Organized by the Chefs’ Association of Pakistan and College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) and endorsed by World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), the PICC was a three day event held between 14 to 16 March at Lahore Royal Palm Golf & Country Club which attracted a large number of culinary professionals, students, hotel and restaurants GMs, and home chefs not from all over the country but also from different regions of the world.
