Shangrila holds food innovation competition at COTHM

World-famous Pakistani food company Shangrila arranged a cooking competition “Food Innovation with Shangrila” on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) for the encouragement of young chefs who are pursuing their careers in the field of culinary arts.

As per details, Shangrila (the food experts) arranged a cooking competition named “Food Innovation with Shangrila”at the Mystery Kitchen of COTHM. Seven teams comprising two members in each team participated in the competition and cooked delicious food using wonderful recipes.

All the recipes were made and executed with the help of Shangrila products which included Oyster Sauce, Chili Sauce, Dark Soya, Soya Sauce, Vinegar, BBQ Sauce, Tomato Ketchup, Habanero Sauce, Worcester Sauce, Sriracha Sauce, Mango Chutney, Peri Peri Sauce, Mold, Spicy & Hot Sauces, Hydrabadi Pickle, and Apple Cider Vinegar.

The dishes which were cooked in the competition included Thai Green Curry with Fragrant Rice, Chicken Parmigiana with Tapenade Sauce, Chicken Roulade with Mushroom Sauce, Rotisserie Chicken with Natural Jus, Spaghetti with Meat Balls, Black Pepper Chicken with Stir Fry Noodles, and Baked Chicken with Creamy Lemon Sauce.

The competition was also visited by the directors of COTHM’s nation-wide campuses who were fortunately visiting the head office to attend annual COTHM Partners’ Interaction.

Certificates and prizes will be distributed among the participants and winners respectively in a ceremony to be separately arranged in the next month.
