Tajikistan Embassy hosts Pakistan Roadshow for tourism opportunities

The Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad hosted the event entitled “Tajikistan — Pakistan Roadshow” to present tourism opportunities.

The event was attended by Tajikistan’s Ambassador, Yusuf Sharifzoda, management of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, representatives of travel agencies of Tajikistan, and 150 representatives of the tourism sector of Pakistan, a news release said.

The management of almost seventy travel companies and tour operators, airlines, local media, television and radio, as well as the employees of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries were also present.

Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of Diplomatic Corps, specially attended the event.

The Tajik delegation presented the tourism potential of their country to the participants of the event.

ICCI tourism summit in Skardu wins accolades from diplomatic community

Tourism, Cuisines play vital role in connectivity among countries: Commerce Minister

Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan on Thursday said that tourism and cuisine played a vital role in the relations and connectivity between the countries.

The minister said this while addressing a Cuisines exhibition organized by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in Karachi.

He said that foods were the main factor to closely connect the peoples in different regions of the world and Asian, South African and Arabian cuisines were known all over the world.

Jam Kamal said that Malaysian foods were very famous in the world as their admirers were all over the world.

He said that food and tourism brought different nations closer together.

The minister said that to invigorate the economy, tourism should be promoted in the country.

Islamabad to get world-class Safari Park, boosting tourism, recreation

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated plans to establish an international-standard safari park in Islamabad, elevating the city’s recreational and tourism infrastructure.

Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, chaired a meeting on Tuesday with CDA Board members, FCDO representatives, and other officials to discuss the project.

The safari park, envisioned to be a world-class facility, will offer a unique experience for residents and visitors, showcasing Islamabad as a premier tourist destination.

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) will provide technical assistance, ensuring the project meets global standards.

The meeting also decided to study international-standard safari parks as models for this initiative.

Additionally, Chairman CDA shared plans to enhance facilities in F-9 Park, providing residents with exciting new opportunities for outdoor activities.

Governor Kundi plans to develop religious tourism in KP

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has announced his intention to establish the province as a hub for religious tourism.

He said this in a speech at a luncheon hosted by former ambassador Hameed Qidwai here at a local hotel. Faisal Karim Kundi highlighted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is home to sacred sites and historical landmarks for various religions, including Buddhism, Sikhism, Hinduism, and Christianity.

He revealed that a comprehensive plan is being developed to protect these sites and promote religious tourism in the region. He emphasized that by leveraging the religious and recreational opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the province could reduce its dependency on the federal government.

Former diplomat and prominent businessman Hamid Qudwai praised Governor Kundi for his visionary political and developmental approach, noting that the emergence of such leaders amid societal decline is a positive sign for the nation.

Record number of 9.3m tourists visited scenic sites in KP during last three months

A record number of nine point three million tourists visited scenic sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last three months reflecting boost in tourism sector in the province.

This was stated by Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism and Culture Zahid Chanzeb during a meeting in Peshawar.

He appreciated the efforts of Tourism department in attracting the large number of people to the province.

This growth in number of visitors is also because of tourism promotional activities being organized by all the authorities in Tourism Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
