According to a major international tourism organization, Turkey will be the fourth most popular tourist destination worldwide in 2023. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) estimates that 963 million people will travel in 2023, spending a total of $1.1 trillion.
With 28 percent of respondents choosing the Mediterranean, France is the country that welcomes the most visitors worldwide, accounting for 80 million. After the United States, Turkey came in fourth with 50.5 million visits.
The UNWTO report on global tourism data for 2022 states that the mobility of tourists was 34 percent lower in 2022 than it was in 2019. Despite the fact that the survey predicted that 963 million people will travel abroad in 2023, France, Spain, the United States, and Turkey were the top choices for these travelers.
