Budget friendly airline Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, based in the UAE, has reported that 2022 saw record-breaking numbers for the company, with more than 6,000 flights and more than 1.2 million passengers, including 600,000 who were flying to the UAE.
The airline has grown to become the second largest carrier in the city by seat capacity, flying to 36 destinations across 25 nations from its base in Abu Dhabi. The airline has established a number of affordable routes and is currently growing into Central Asia, the Maldives, and across the Gulf.
Michael Berlouis, Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, commented on the achievement and said that the growth until 2022 demonstrates their commitment to making the airline an accessible choice for everyone. He said he was excited for this year and anticipated that travellers will board the brand-new, environmentally friendly aircraft operated by Wiz Air Abu Dhabi.
